Commissioning manual
Operational procedure for connecting the controller, associating it with an installation and validating the applied I/O configuration. Electrical installation and wiring must already be complete and inspected.
Complete the following checks before beginning network setup or device association.
- 1Verify the product model, hardware revision, power supply, terminal markings and protective devices.
- 2Have access to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and its credentials; for WPS, use only the network prepared for switchButler IoT.
- 3Create or use an authorised Control Room account and prepare the installation to which the controller will be assigned.
At first start, the display guides the installer through language selection, network method, connection status and device association.
Language
Select the language used by the local interface.
Wi-Fi setup
Choose Bluetooth or WPS.
Connection
Wait for the selected network procedure to complete.
Associate device
Use the QR code or the displayed identification data in the Control Room.
Choose the commissioning method exposed by the selected model. Network credentials are entered only through the guided interface; no internal communication parameters are required.
- 1On SBIOT360, select the language on the display and choose Bluetooth as the Wi-Fi setup method.
- 2In the Control Room, sign in, open the target installation and start Add device.
- 3Choose Bluetooth, allow browser access and select the switchButler controller shown nearby.
- 4Select the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, enter its password and confirm. Keep the phone close until the display confirms the connection.
- 1On SBIOT360, select WPS on the display. The connection attempt starts automatically when the WPS screen opens.
- 2Start WPS on the prepared access point within its permitted time window and wait for the controller to confirm the connection.
- 3If the attempt fails, use Retry on the controller and restart WPS on the access point.
- 4Continue in the Control Room only after the controller shows that the network connection is ready.
The controller must belong to an installation and to the authorised users of that installation. A customer record is not the device owner.
- 1Register or sign in to the Control Room and create the installation if it does not already exist.
- 2Open the installation, select Add device and use Bluetooth, the QR code or manual entry according to the information shown by the controller.
- 3Confirm the association, then assign a clear device name and its physical location.
- 4Verify that the controller appears online in the installation before continuing with I/O configuration.
Field wiring defines the electrical signal; platform configuration defines how each channel is interpreted and which operational action or event follows.
- 1Name every relay and input according to the connected circuit and physical location.
- 2For each input, select enabled or disabled and the correct mode: contact closed to common, contact open, voltage present or voltage absent.
- 3Set alarm and restore delays to filter contact bounce or brief transitions without hiding relevant states.
- 4Create the required event rules, recipients and authorised actions; configuration does not replace electrical or functional safeguards.
- 5Apply the configuration and wait until the device reports the updated revision before testing channels.
Test the complete installation under controlled conditions before handover.
- 1Operate every input and verify its normal, alarm and restored states in the Control Room.
- 2Test every relay only after confirming the connected load and the required de-energized state.
- 3Verify behaviour after sensor loss, temporary network loss, power interruption and controller restart where applicable.
- 4Record the final configuration, installation location and authorised users, then hand over only the functions intended for the operator.
